I bought the 25" Hannspree from BestBuy that was on sale for $239. Unfortunately after the initial wow factor of its large size I became very disapointed. The first thing I Noticed was the backlight bleed was significant. The viewing angles were the worse of any lcd i've owned. The worse part of the monitor was the black levels were bad. They seemed ok at first but they started to look more gray than black. I know Bestbuy carries 2 different Hannspree 25" models so I can't comment on the other model. I ended up returning the Hannspree and couldn't get a replacement as no other Bestbuy in my area had the 25" Hannspree available. I bought a Asus 26" monitor from Newegg with a webcam for $319 shipped. The Asus is a 100% improvement in everyway over the Hannspree. I also prefer the 16.1 ratio of the Asus over the 16.9 of the Hannspree.
I own a Haans-G 28" i have had if for about 6-7 months now with no issues, i didnt know of the company before purchasing it either but it turns out that this thing is great! love mine and have just recommended it to two other members today on this forum, Hanns-G is owned by Hannspree
Yes that is the one i purchased, then about 2 weeks later Hanns-G released the new 281DJB which has height adjustment stand and has a more glossy black look to it.
