I've already ordered my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro for my Clawhammer Athlon 64 3200+, and plan to also get a ATI Silencer 4 for my x850XT PE, but I was wondering if chipset cooling is actually worth it. Does it actually give you a performance increase and allow for more OC'ing (what I'll be doing to both vid. and CPU, especially the cpu). Watercooling is too expensive for my tastes, but I'm a big fan of cooling w/ fans as In total i'll have around 10 fans running ( LOL ) in the case. Sound isn't important as I need something to put me a sleep. Also need to hear my beast purr ;)

so recap:

spend the extra 10 to get chipset cooling?

If you're gonna bench and o/c and all that I would say get it. You may be able to squeeze a few more mhz on the FSB. FYI in my case I unplugged my NB stock fan because it's too loud. The chip still stays cool because I have excellent case air flow. I do not o/c my processor/FSB at the moment. ;)
