Hey I found out that my soundcard is shaing the same IRQ with my network card and it causes freezes and etc while im playing audio.

What is the best possible way to fix this, can I switch IRQ's somehow?

Im using windows xp home, the soundcard is m-audio delta audiophile 2496. The network is Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet Nic. There both sharing IRQ#18.

How can i fix this thanks.

I would try updating the drivers for both. Sounds like you have some crappy drivers that can't handle IRQ sharing. XP does away with IRQ conflicts, so it's not the OSes fault. Other than that, I guess you could try moving the NIC or soundcard to another PCI slot.

Try going into BIOS and re-seting ESCD. When you boot into windows, all of your devices will re-install, and windows should assign the correct IRQs. IRQ 18 doesn't really exist anyway, as it's just made up by APIC.

Try to move to different PCI slot, then change your IRQ settings in Windows.
