Ipod Song Transitioning

I was just curious if anyone knew whether or not it was possible to get rid of any dead space between songs. Namely I am talking about when two tracks go right next to each other without a break. Is there a way to get an ipod to play each song back to back continuously? I've got the 4thgen video ipod if that makes a difference.

combine all the tracks into 1 mp3 otherwise no there is no way you can do it.

gapless playback has been a feature people have wanted on Ipods for a lonnnnnnnng time....
I don't know why apple won't implement it, it really sucks on live albums and stuff.
