I got this aluminium case off of ebay and its pretty nice and I like it but there are some issues about it that I hope I could just fix.

I dont know if you can see but in the middle of the picture where it woudl be the bottom left corner of the lense that covers the screen there are a few black spots and a opaque spot. The black stuff is probably the glue and the opaque spot is probably glue also... like when you use some superglue and it makes plastic cloudy. Its not bad, but its an Ipod Photo and it just doesnt look nice with the defect on the plastic.

The opening fits the ipod headphones just fine, but I just dont like ipod headphones very much... I was thinking about rounding that off or just cutting the band of alumium off that is between the hold switch and the headphone jack.

I have a general idea of how it could be fixed (thinking lots of dremel fun) but I would like some advice as to how to actually do it. Should I use a cloth wheel and just try to buff that stuff off? Should I just use a reenforced cutting wheel and grind it off or woud that be a job for the gridning stone?
