I've been having problems with a thin client disconnecting from RDP sessions quite often. I found very quickly that it had the same IP as a Wireless Access Point that my laptop uses. The WAP has never gone offline because I know straight away if my connection drops out, and the thin client seemed to connect ok most of the time. How was this possible?
