I noticed someone made a mod to turn this:

into this:

And used it to power their AC pump via DC molex from the PSU

Comments?
 
This is the first time I've seen this such a mod done...Has anyone else seen this before?

Are there possible problems with doing this mod?

Those car power inverters are pretty cheap and offer a great option for those who use AC pumps in their WC systems...
 
so long as you remain within the rated output of the adaptor, there is no short term problem.

most adaptors of that sort are not rated for continous opperation, so it would be a really goo idea to phorn the manufacturer and get the duty cycle rating for that product before trying it yourself, if you plan on running it long term..
