Would that be the Pentium D 805? Or are you saying that the lowest conroe will be that price? Where'd u hear this anyway?

Even at double the cost of operation (electricity, cooling, etc), the P-D 805 is hard to beat. Hopefully they will release a budget 9xx dual core on the 65nm Presler core soon, which is at least a little "greener," and has more clock potential :D
 
Dang I was hoping you were going to tell me that you found that the low end conroe cpus were going to be 100ish bucks. That might have swayed me to possibly building a HTPC in the fall. Or moving the 170 to the HTPC and putting conroe under the watercooling. Oh well, the woman would probly attempt to kill me if I started to put together an HTPC.
