Intel X25 vs. X25 "Mainstream" - differences besides cost?

They have the same control and rated at the same speed. I have used both and perform almost identical. It's a no brainier which one I would buy.

I'm just curious what the difference is. I looked through Intel's website and can't find any documentation that clearly defines them.

They are both "mainstream" drives. Dunno what is up with the price on the 160G, but my guess is that newegg is either running low on stock for that particular model or going to run a "sale" on it in the near future.
