I just went to PDXLAN....

Long story short, I watched an Intel presentation, and was blown away.

I currently run an AMD 64 4000+...

If I were to upgrade and spend around 300 bucks, what would be the best upgrade?

how were you blown away? what did intel have? details! i need details!

Well $300. won't get u much,
i would sit on it for another 4 months, better motherboards should be out and you'll have a better selection. If your looking for a intel Sli solution even more of a reason to wait.
I myself already sold my Amd system so here's what i got:
MB ECS NFORCE 570 SLIT-A V5.1 775 - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$97.99)
CPU INTEL|CORE 2 E6300 1.86G 775 R - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$180.00)
MEM 1Gx2|G.SKILL F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ - Retail (Qty=1, Price=$269.00)
Shipping and Handling Charge**: $13.62
Total: $560.61
Granted the motherboard is a crap shoot and if it last me 6 months i'll be happy,
but also from what I've been reading on here the new Asus intel Sli motherboard has the same C19 chip not the better C55 chip for overclocking.
So i'm not gonna blow $300. on one when u can get something to hold u over for this price:
Price=$97.99
