I have a fuxored intel p4 cpu which i want to rma to Intel. I was wondering if any of you guys had experience with the Intel RMA procedure. How long does it take till they send you a new cpu etc.
thanks.

Just wondering, how did it break? it's extremely rare for a cpu to break from normal usage within the first 3 years.

I used to go to computer shows and buy all the bad/unkown p3's that retail s-specs so that I could RMA them.

There is a phone number to call. They will ask what happened and what type of hardware you are running. Then they get your info like name, address, email and such. If it is a retail chip and you don't tell them something like I wasn't using a heatsink. They will send you the RMA instructions and number in email. Then send the processor and you should get a retail package back in about 1 week.
