How many people have already built your systems? How do you like it, what has your luck with it been like so far? I am curious to see how other peoples packages are doing.

Figure I should share my experience so far, it shipped and got to me in two days and then I put it all together. X800 GTO2, 2GB corsair 667, 2x maxtor 300gb, Antec Neo 480 etc. It ran great for four days, card unlocked to 16 and was running great at 550/550.

Fast forward to today where the computer randomly shut down. It looked like the motherboard was smoking but by the time I opened the side panel I couldn't see where it was coming from. Tried to get power back to it to double check to see if it was dead. Get nothing, I think the motherboard was a lemon. Anyone else had a bad experience with this package so far...? I think after I RMA it from intel and get a new motherboard and processor I am going to sell it and pick up a Asus or something.

Anyone familiar with Intels warranty info on these packages?

hmmm weird prob u got there man, mine 640 has been runing great for 6month so far, except for da PSU crapping out on me besides that it has been top notch.

i work for bestbuy and a bunch of people here got that package and have all gotten dead motherboards. mostly temperature related stuff though.

Did anyone have to buy a new PSU to get the extra 4 block covered on the mobo?

I don't have this on my Antec Quiet380 that came with my sonata.

Yea you need a 24 pin ps. My motherboard just got to intel, looks like there shipping me a new "working" one hopefully 2 day air. Hopefully this one isnt a piece.. lol.

SHITTY!!!! i sold my bundle to my boss!!! either way the only wierd issues hes having is sometimes it wont post, so he just lets it sit for a min, then restarts and it boots ;) he has it mated with an x1800xt can anyone say CPU bottleneck?!?

I built mine over Thanksgiving- its been ok. I think that the northbridge runs way too hot for passive cooling, though. I put a little fan on mine, and it still runs at 57C full load. Perhaps I should add a chipset block into my loop.

I also ran into memtest errors that wouldn't go away no matter what speed/latency I set. A bios flash fixed that though.

My new setup seems to be pretty stable now, and gets higher #'s in Aquamark3 and 3DMark05 than last year's bundle system. So I'm happy with it.
