So I just completed my new build and I had a quick question regarding IRST. I'm using a Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H mobo that has an mSATA slot on it. I have a 64GB Kingston mSATA SSD installed, a 240GB Corsair Force GT (boot drive, OS and apps) and 2x WD 2TB Greens for storage. I wanted to use the 64GB mSATA as a cache drive for the 2 greens, but I can't seem to figure out how exactly to do that. If it's not possible, then i'm not sure I really need the mSATA drive since I already have an SSD for my boot/OS.

The cache drive I think would work with all drives, not just the two you wanted to get a boost from directly. So in essence, there would be a significant portion of your OS cached, even though it is already on an SSD. I'm not sure the gains would be realized like you want them, but I would be interested to hear if they do or not.
