theinq talks about how AMD is talking to clearspeed about making co-processors for its opteron processors (http://theinquirer.net/?article=30318) and being that these clearspeed cores can crank out like 25 gflops, it would be a great advantage for AMD. Does Intel have similiar plans?

When I saw the Inq headline this morning, I thought it was a joke. I dunno...is this something they want to integrate on die? on chip? or on a slot-AMD adapter? Maybe answering those questions first is more important.

Why is this in Intel forum should be moved to amd. That way they can see whats coming in the way of future products from AMD in the year 2510

This is the Inquirer news in the past week
1. AMD say's they have something in the works will talk about. (than there is nothing talked about)
2. AM2 will be DDR2 800 capable (big deal)
3 AM2 will be DDR2 1066 capable (again big deal)
4 AM2 will be DDR3 capable ( again big deal)
5 AMD to use Co processor ( IN the year 2510)
If this stuff is actually coming from AMD it would seem Conroe has people and hector running around like chikens with their heads cut off.
This isn't damage control its fud control

I thought you had to register and go as opposed to be invited? So are you saying that they are a little bit biased now against Intel b/c they are annoyed? And a few weeks ago, you could not tell us anything about Penryn. Any difference? We know about cache increses of 50% as opposed to doubling and new instructions but that's about it.
