you need a IDE pci card to get a 3rd hd.
Ummm well that's assuming that he has only 2 IDE channels on his mobo and also assuming of course that he doesn't want to use a master/slave setup. And of course that he doesn't have a board that handles SATA.

Hey Linus, why don't you try to explain a little more of what you have and what you want to do with it.

Well I just would kinda like to put another hard drive in my pc. I have another two here that I dont use, one is a top line maxtor. I have two optical drives and two hard drives at the minute. I have two ide connectors on my mobo (abit nf7). is there no kind of doublue adapter. I went in search of cables like that and they pretty much have cables for everything now, except this.

My reservoir is sitting under my sound card so I currently have no room for another pci card. I just thought there would be an easy way to do it. Ive seen pc's with maybe 20 hard drives in them.

Those drives are probably hooked up to controller cards. If your NF-7 board has SATA then you could get 2 more drives. If you have no room for PCI cards then another option would be external via either usb or firewire.

External wouldnt do me either. Just want to use up all the drives I have. Aw well I gues it wasnt meant to be. But im in the market for another reservoir atm so that will probably cure the pci slot problem.
