Installing SATA Drivers?

Just got my new system up and running, installed XP onto my OEM Raptor drive.
My question is this. My Abit IC7 Max 3 came with a "SATA Driver" floppy. However I don't know where to update this driver? Any help is very much appreciated.

Also is there a way to be sure that the drive is operating as SATA and not defaulted back to an IDE drive? Or is that possible? As long as its connected via the SATA cable/port to the mobo it should function as such?

You only need that driver if you happen to be setting up a RAID array. If you are not enabling the RAID functionality (which your not, since you have 1 drive) you don't need to load any special drivers. XP will find the drive during the install and everything will continue as normal.
