I noticed a new set of PhysX drivers were released today by Nvidia (9.09.0010) and was wondering what the proper install procedure was...I usually install the Physx drivers included with the graphics driver package...for this standalone driver set do I just uninstall the old PhysX drivers from Add/Remove Programs and install the new ones or do I just install them on top of the older set?...any special procedure?...does Driver Cleaner or Driver Sweeper have a physx removal option?

Well there is this from the driver download page...
Runtime upgrade ONLY for AGEIA PhysX processors users. (New installations should install older PhysX system software such as version 8.09.04 prior to installing this update).
I did the uninstall/reinstall before but have had issues getting my Ageia card to work. I followed the above (but w/ 8.08.01 drivers and then the new one over the top) and my major issue went away. Looks like it's ok to install over the top of a driver set.

Nope. In some older Ageia Physx compatible games the Ageia PPU seems to not be recognized by the aplication if some specific Nvidia Physx System Software version is installed. I can´t remember wich version it was but I would like to know if the problem persists with newer versions such as this one

What about Mirror´s Edge? Does anyone knows if it´s compatible with Nvidia Physx calculated with an Ageia PPU? Cause I´m having some serious low frame rates in scenes where glass Physx is being used.

It could be that the PPU is limiting the FPS simply because it can not keep up with the demands of the game. Someone on this forum did a comparison between the FPS of some game (not ME, I think) with no PhysX enabled, PhysX on PPU or PhysX on GPU (dedicated). The GPU solution had the highest FPS, with the PPU lagging seriously behind.

I see that you did the comparison with a single GPU as well, so no dedicated GPU, which is even more interesting, as the PPU seems to slow down the game even when comparing to the PhysX part running on the GPU as well. If the PPU was actually doing something useful one'd expect the PPU scores to be higher. Only positive thing one could say about the PPU is that it gives better scores with with PhysX on the CPU, which is hardly a compliment =/
So, in summary I guess one could say that those old-school PPUs are quite... well, useless
Using your 8800 GT (PhysX) with a GTX 260 (graphics) or so would probably be one of the best solutions.
