Okay, so the computer I have now, I had help build. My friend and I managed to put it together, however it was mostly him due to his experience. Now that I bought an A64 and a Shuttle, I want to do this one myself. The task that scares me is the process of putting the thermal paste onto the chip and then installing the ICE HSF on it. Granted, the only other experience I've had with that is the thermal pads on retail HSF's. So what are you methods of applying it? I've read around and am trying to decide which is the best. I mean, do you just put a small dot on and then shove the HSF on the chip, or use the whole "credit card method" of squishing it on thoroughly and evenly. Oh well, I'm just looking for ideas. Thanks!
