I'm thinking about getting this SATA seagate hard drive
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-148-019&catalog=14&depa=1

Little confused on how to get windows to recognize it cause I've heard people say windows sees it as RAID or something.

Just wanna make sure I know how to get it running before I buy.

Are there any tutorials, I've searched google and I've only seen information about SATA and hard drive reviews.

Recommend any other hard drives as well,
would prefer 7200rpm with 8mg cache

windows used to list RAID cards and PCI IDE controllers as SCSI devices, but they generally worked fine anyway.

i wouldn't worry too much about setting it up.

and check out storagereview.com for specs on drives.
