hey all,

was stress testing my new overclock since i've gone water cooling (h20-220 compact), and noticed some 'inconsistent' core temps via cpuid. there will be certains times of about ~45 minutes of the test where the my core temps were 55 C on average. then at certain times for ~45 minutes were my core temps will run at 66 C. See my cpuid screenshot below. I took the screenshot during the time it was running 55 C, but you can see at the max column in the cpuid that i hit the 66 C range. i also want to note that during the times where my temps were 55 C, my vcore was reading 1.4 V (cpuid), vs the times when it was running 66 C it was reading 1.38 V. i was testing using large FFTs. does prime95 run in some interval where some parts of the test run 'harder' thus generating more heat at these certain times? cuz that's what it seems like...

i was doing homework in front of my comp and witness this happen twice. it will be running 55 C average for a while, then slowly rise to 66 C for a little while, then back down, then back up again...
