my 9700 pro keeps crashing in doom3 and my guess is that its overheating (based on my superb logic that when i touch the hsf on the card its really hot). is there any settings i could adjust that would perhaps cool it down. it's happened with both the 4.7 and 4.9 cats. otherwise i suppose ill have to get better cooling for it.
 
never! but honestly it sholdnt just crash.. i mean it runs good before it crashes like i could max shi tin far cry and it would go all slide show on me but it wouldnt crash and even then it would be ctd not my screen going black and not being able to do anything
 
If you're overclocking lower the setting and also make sure that you have good airflow in your case. That might be causing the overheating.Good luck.
