When I open IE it is slow to open and browsing the web is slow. Looks like and feels like dial up

Internet connection SBC DSL

tested with Linksys router installed and with out router installed and still low.

Do you think I have a virus?

My Norton doesn't find anything

Plus I run Spysweeper and PC doctor nothing found

Deleted all cookies.

Any ideas

Should I reload windows!

Does all your machines run slow or just one? If they all run slow it is probably a problem with your DSL service. If only one it is probably a virus or malware.

Norton doesn't always find everything. If it is just one machine you might want to try going to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and run this online scanner and see what it finds.

what's your system spec? So both open up a browser and opening webpages are slow? Do any other application running slow as well?

Go do a bandwidth test see how fast your actual connection speed is. I doublt it's your internet speed's problem since it shouldn't slow down the launching speed of the browser. If you disconnect your ethernet cable and click on IE shortcut, you browser should open up right away. If it's still slow then it has to do with your system.
