IE/Firefox not working correctly

Hi everyone. I have a computer that is connected to the network, but when you open any browser, it cannot return any websites. However, if you go to My Documents or any similar window and type in an address in the bar, it will come up. The computer is running XP SP2. I did a complete scan of viruses and returned nothing. Any ideas?

I've worked on systems like this before, it sounds like a browser hijacking. Run Malwarebytes and Spybot search and destroy.
