IE 8 closes when i try to save somthing!

Ok been dealingwith this for a few days and cant figure it out through google so asking for some help.

I run vista 64 with IE 8 whenever i try to save a file and click save my IE closes. If i click open instead of save i have no issues. I gotta think its some sort of spy/malware but spybot, avast, ms security nothign finds anything on the system Can someone please tell me whats going on?

if i use another browser i can save files just fine from online sources.

What have you done to IE to try to fix this? Did you check your Event Viewer for IE events?

Have you also tried running IE8 in safe mode to see if it isn't some sort of add-on problem?

Are you running the newest version of NOD32? Seems there is an issue with IE8 on Windows 7.

events viewer shows this for allt he ie crashes whent hey happen no NOD 32 ive tried resetting all IE setting ssafe mode does not fix this i have no add-ons no toolbars etc

At least we have a fault module (Fault Module Name: gameux.dll).

It might be spyware, dude. Try MalwareBytes a try. If it is a legitimate .dll, then I would try unregistering/re-registering the file. Maybe even do the "sfc /scannow" from command.
