okay i just got another dvd rw drive i have 2 in total and 1 hard drive i have 1 working ide slot and 1 for some reoson that won't work anyone no if their way to check if it works or hardware to buy to have or external or somthing that will solve problem thx in advance

Not entirely sure what you were trying to say, but if I read it right you have only one working IDE channel.

If that’s the case you can only have 2 IDE drives a primary (your hard drive) and secondary (your DVD drive).

You could get a PCI IDE card and have 4 or possibly 6 working IDE channels.
