Controller ID: 0 Battery has failed and cannot support data retention.

Looking around the internet says these are IBM part 43W4342 or MR10M.

Sourcing these things are $275 - $550! But LSI batteries are under $100.

Does anyone know of an LSI battery that can replace these official IBM part numbers for cheaper?

I've successfully replaced individual cells in RAID BBUs with off the shelf AA NIMHs and an appropriately sized battery holder. It'll probably void warranties but there's no reason to mark up batteries 2000%. If you're comfortable with soldering and electronics, it's usually fairly simple. Just detach the controller/charging circuit from the cells and retrofit.
