Like my other post regarding Intel processors, I'm not sure whether you care or not, but it does conscern me and maybe a few others out there.

USA Today said:
IBM said Tuesday that ti would sell its PC business to Lenovo, China's No. 1 PC maker, in a $1.75 billion deal that marks the end of an era. Lenovo will pay IBM up to $1.25 billion in cash and equity for IBM's PC division, which produced the first IBM PC in 1981. It will assume $500 million in liabilities. IBM will get a 18.9% stake in Lenovo.

Apparently, IBM's sales were doing pretty bad here in the US. According to this graph, IBM was selling 4.9% of the US' computers, whereas Dell was selling 30.4%. I thought that wa wierd because IBM *supposedly* sells some of the best servers around. And who better to target then big companies?

PC Business is not server business. All IBM has sold is it's desktop line. Laptops and Servers are still theirs.
