i7 OC help

Okay, so far the oc with the most stability I have got it at is 185bclk and 1.325v (set in bios). I have not changed any other voltages at this speed. HT always enabled.

I can POST and boot/use Windows 24/7 just fine at 3.8/190bclk, same voltage. I have tried slightly higher voltages, but not over 1.35v for fear of heat. It's already running @ mid 70's C under 100% load. What I mean by "just fine" is that as long as the system isn't fully loaded for a few hours, it won't BSOD. I can browse the net, listen to music, watch movies, with no crash for days. But, full load Prime95 or even 2 SMP F@H would BSOD after about 2.5hrs. So I'm leaving it at 185bclk for now.

At the same voltages, I can POST at 3.9/195blck but cannot boot Windows.

I know I could up some voltages, but there's too many voltage options it's like a nightmare... lol *pulls hair*

Is there any specific voltages I should raise or any recommendation on getting 3.8ghz stable, or even 3.9?

I'm pretty happy with it zooming at 3.7... but the thing is, I like even hundred-numbers, so I'd love to hit that 3.8 stable mark.

Try to lower the multiplier to 19x and keep the BCLK at 200 MHz. That way, your ram can also run at 1600 MHz (with 8x multiplier) instead of 1520 MHz.

Test stability using Intel Burn Test which is much quicker than Prime95. I used to have my i7 920 at 4 GHz but lowered it to 19 x 200 MHz = 3.8 GHz. I have it set to 1.2750v in BIOS which shows up as 1.25v in CPU-Z.
