Anyone have any books or other resources they recommend on me to start reading up on? I pretty much know zero about IPv6 other than some stuff I found online. Given I work in a NOC at an ISP I may as well get ahead of the game and know how it works. My server provider also provides it, so at least it will give me something to play with too.

I'm interested as well. I know the material from CCNA, but that's barebones. A book or video series that explains it easily and understandable would be great. (Cisco text books are very boring to me.) I learnt a lot from the CBT Nuggets, for me, they worked very well to help me learn and understand.

There's the Hurricane Electric info, includes a set of tasks with tests to get you setup. (To get all the points, you end up have a working ipv6 domain setup) http://ipv6.he.net/

Hurricane Electric a good source I went to a seminar by them a year or two ago.

I took a SCTE IPv6 course for docsis systems. I would recommend it even if youre not in the cable isp field.

Ahem, "ahead of the game" is at least 12 years late.

Aren't we even at the point already where you can't call your product "Internet-capable" without IPv6 support?

What do you need to know besides what http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6 provides? If you know IPv4, you basically need to know that ARP went away and neighbor solicitation/advertisement took its place. Several default multicast addresses exist to access e.g. routers on a segment. Stuff like that.
