You guys go me addicted, I am building a new machine for folding, i already ordered the OCZ StealthXStream 600W PSU for $38 AR and the EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 384MB for $50 after $50 MIR

and now i keep looking at slickdeals and here at the [H]ot deals forum every few minutes to see if any new deals on ram, cpu ,mobo come up for my build.

I don't know if this is healthy or not?

sorry ignore above.

Yes you need help. You need way more boxen still. :p

Just stop before you sell your household appliances on Ebay to afford more boxen.

It's hard to cook dinner without a stove. ;)

Edit: Come to think of it..... the case with the 9800GX2 cards might be a suitable oven.

Stove? What is that? My dinners come in this neat nifty little plastic tray in a box. Microwaves, FTW!!! Less time spent cooking, less money spent on electricity, more time spent surfing for deals.

Stove....., what's that ? Being a batchelor with just me and my cat eating at home I beat the stove usage thing. My cats food is in cans and bags, my food is in frozen dinners (TV dinners, etc) Still trying to reduce electricity usage for appliances that aren't considered critical (ATM, only my folding boxen are considered critical :D) I have downgraded from a 1100w microwave oven to a 800w microwave oven (I think it saves power ) and I've replaced all my light bulbs with the "curly Q" energy efficient type (I know they save power ;)).

Foldin' and WCGn' for a CURE

That XMS2 is good stuff. The stuff I bought back in 06 is still running strong and been run at 900mhz its entire life

Actually, it is traditional to convert your household appliances into boxen. :D

Just think of how many motherboards fit in the fridge!

Beleive it or not, the typical fridge can't handle the heat of even two comuters like quads with over clocked vid cards. You will have to trust me on that one;)

I think I need to call picd or shens on this for the good of the thread ;)

a freezer might work BillR :p but then again would end up being a semi warm fridge from the heat :p

Use a watercooling setup in a wine chiller. Just put the radiators on the racks with fans blowing threw them. You can punch holes in the side for the cooling lines and mount a fan controller as well powered by an external 12v power supply. total cost is about $300 and with the adjustable temp you can be sure to feed the radiators with sub-ambiant air. Totally silent and energy efficient since they are run on peltier chips with there own cooling unit on the back. Can be picked up at Best Buy from about $50 to $150. Nice feature is the glass doors so one can add lights and see there radiators inside...Hope this gives you a good idea.

Lest you forget... we're men... a grill is a perfectly acceptable substitute for a stove... :D

Besides.. who doesn't like the smell of grillin'?

I need help too, I just put together a Q6600 setup just to fold. Am still trying to figure out what to say when the SO sees a 'new computer'...

um.. find a spot in your garage and hide it there elleana.. doubt anyone would see it there.. :p if you dont have a garage.. find a closet :p usually works until some one opens it and gets blasted by hot air..

this isn't a new computer I just got a new case and used old parts to build a system inside ;)

I might try using the Thermaltake Big Typhoon for a grill.... God knows there's enough heat coming off of it.:D
