YaYA i just ordered my sapphire X800xt i cant wait

i have a 6800gt i love that card but they both have the ups and downs so why not buy both of them :D
 
i had a 6800 gt and x800pro, not xt.

i had to sell my 6800gt. so i stuckw ith ati, got a 9800aiw for the 2nd comp, i just like ati too much

hehe, they also started to grow on me after awhile. I had my GF4Ti4200, but then i went through a 9600Pro, 9800Pro, and a 9800XT before getting the 6800GT, and a month later I'm more then happy to be "back in red" with my XT-PE.....such a great card.

Hope you love your X800XT mattman255, it's one hell of a card. :cool:
 
yeah at first i wasnt sure if i should get rid of my gt or not...then i just did it.

received my xt and seriously, i blew away my expectations...waaay faster than the gt, i've read the reviews, and the reviews show the gt performing very close to the xt, but in my situation, this XT kills the GT. couldnt be happier with this card.

i was hoping for a vivo pro, but lucked out, like 4 times.
 
Same here. Had a 6800gt and had to sell that crap. Got me a nice fast XT. It was like night and day for my PC.I could tell the difference right away.

It's weird....it mostly has to do with how your games "feel" when you're running the XT(PE) though. It's maybe not THAT much faster.....i honestly don't know what it is....but this card does impress me quite a bit more then my GT did, no question.

and the 6800gt is by far horrible its a great card i just love the ati desgin i always buy both ati and nvidia they both have the pro and cons for example ati better for DX games con ati drivers are garbge

nvidia pro-pixel shader 3.0 and better direct X 9.0c support and you can overclock your gt to a ultra
con nvidia drivers are getting old and dull now and there big and bulky and ugly and take a lot of heat


autally i will stick with the X800xt pe agp i ordered the X800xt and cancled it you know where i can get the X800xtpe agp

Hehe, I actually just came across someone on a canadian FS/FT forum who wanted to move back to Nvidia.....one of those "right place at the right time" sort of things. VERY few places, if any, are stocking true XT-PE cards atm....or at least they're trying and dont have any. :p

It does, I think he's confused. You cashed in all your bad shit and finally had something good happen (based on luck obviously). That's what it means.
 
Good job getting rid of that POS GT and getting the X800 XT. It feels so much smoother in games, no stuttering like the GT.

It depends. If it's gonna be THAT much harder and more expensive to get the XT-PE then don't worry about it. If someone isn't going to overclock then it honestly doesnt really matter, because the clocks are only a touch lower....something that even a complete newbie could be instructed to "fix" right away. However, there are a large number of X800XT's that are not carrying 100% 1.6ns ram....some have 2.0ns ram on one side of the card and 1.6ns on the other......which can really hold back your memory overclock, IF you want to get "down and dirty" with the card.

Your call.

I see, I don't QUITE agree with simply returning the cards....as it's added hassle for the store.....why not just sell the cards on Ebay or our own FS/FT forum for the retail cost + shipping and make a little extra money off 'em in the process? :p
 
yeah i dont either, but i wanted a vivo.. temptation took me over. i think i exaggerated the numberanyawys. i thik i only did it once. if you count me and my friend, once.


lol 4 times, i guess i wnated to sound cool!

Totally up to you, check out the prices, bundles, and what some ppl have been hitting for overclocks with them. The Sapphire and BBA are almost as close to being the same thing as you can get...and while I haven't heard anything negative about the gigabyte in particular it might still be worth asking around XS or something.
