First of all, love the forum and I don't mean to come here making a copypasta thread since I'm sure you guys have been asked this a few more times than you'd like to.

I've searched the internet and this forum, read and watched reviews, and been shopping for a week. I'm looking for a monitor to play x-box 360, specifically Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft on (as well as every day computing, T.V. and movie watching). I've narrowed my search, to some skepticism, to the Samsung PX2370. My budget is around $300-$350. I've thoroughly enjoyed my Samsung SyncMaster 2253bw but I think it may be time to upgrade. I'd prefer a monitor with an HDMI port and DVI port, highest possible contrast ratio, resolution, fast response time and LED backlit.

I've read around the internet and a lot of people seem to have diverse recommendations. I got to see the PX2370 in person beside a few LG LED monitors and I have to say that I thought the PX2370 was MUCH better looking even though LG seems to be recommended by a lot of people.

I've read the review of the PX2370 but I'm still not sure. I need any help, recommendations, or reassurance available.

Thank you all in advance and, once again, I'm sorry for any inconvenience or information I may have overlooked.

The biggest downside to the PX2370 is quite obviously that it's a TN panel. It sounds as though that is what you are looking for though if you dont know what that means I recommend researching it a bit. There is a thread stickied in this forum giving a bit of information on the different panel types (TN, IPS, PVA, ect).

Basically to sum it up,
TN: Bad colors, bad viewing angles, good response times, cheap

IPS: Good color gambit, better viewing angles, slower response time, more expensive
I'll leave the others for you to research.

That said, If you're fine with a TN panel which is what most people actually use (maybe not here but in general, dont let us tell you it's bad just because many here avoid them. It's all about what you prefer.

I can't offer any information on the PX2370, but something you said has me curious, "I've read the review of the PX2370 but I'm still not sure. I need any help, recommendations, or reassurance available." Was there something about the review you read that made you unsure?
