Okay, so I just received my new 80gb hdd from newegg today and hooked up ready to transfer over some files. Only problem is I can't see the drive in my computer. It comes up in the bios fine, and in system properties, I don't understand.

nah, I doubt that's a problem, otherwise it wouldn't show at all right?

it shows both drives in bios as master and slave ok?...but not in windows...I had that BS happen with a HD and a DVD player....had to change them to a different power connector because it wasn't getting enough juice to spinup while the other drive was running...worth a shot.

allright, I dunno what I did, maybe because there wasn't a partition on the drive, but I dont' think so, either way I got it working now, formatting as we speak, rock on.

you gotta format and parttion the damnnn harddrive.
control panel, administravie tools and then computer management and click on disk management on the left and click the 80gb and right clikc and click on format
there you go.....
