hey my cousin plays warcraft 3 and almost anything can run it. But his pc CANT its strange...

i belive hes got about 300mb pc100 memory
geforce 4 mx 460
ALI chipset motherboard
Amd k6-2 500

and when i played warcraft on his pc. it was fine until things started comeing to attack our base it got really really laggy and i kinga figured it could be a heat problom. but his pc is fine im not sure if its a bad video card or........ what i need help

Well, its probably the processor. I remember my k6-2 chugging on games. (and that was games at the time)

You could try reinstalling windows, making sure nothing else is running etc.

All in all, that's a very weak system. The K6-2 is a rather "meh" processor. Definitely NOT equivalent to a PII. Lagging when there's lots of stuff going on suggests that the CPU is getting too much demand placed on it... given the CPU, it seems all but a certainty.

While the box recommend a P2 class processor, that's only the low end that it has been tested to run on. Warcraft 3 can get pretty hectic like during combat, and that is most likely taxing the CPU and causing it to chug.

u gotta upgrade that sucka i think it requires a p3 700 or equivalent and 512 ram the graphics card isn't the problem. its sort of a bottleneck with his pc, to much info going into small a processor.
