I actually have my own F@H team, Iceteks.com, but it's DEAD. I decided to just abandon it and joined [H] instead. I just added my main server, and it just started on the first unit as of now. :)

Welcome!

What kind of systems do you have running?

Main server is a Core2Quad with 8GB of ram and my workstation is an Athlon 64 X2 with 3.5GB of ram. For now I'll have those two machines running, they are my most powerful. Not much, but better than nothing I guess eh.

I may try to add my online server too but not sure yet, it's a Core2Quad I believe.

Oh and quick question, should I be using the beta client to take advantage of multi core, or am I better off with the production one?

The beta SMP client is your best bet with that hardware.

Welcome to the team Red Squirrel, you will find we are far from dead ;)

On the Intel machine, you should use this: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1511766

On the AMD rig, I believe you'd be best off running the standard client.

The Intel one is Linux, so I'm just running with the -smp flag, it seems to be doing the trick as the cpu monitor shows 100% for all.

I need to stop trying to configure my UPS though, something is not working and it keeps making the computer shut down hard, and keeps restarting the WU. Never realized it was that hard to setup a UPS in Linux so it does a graceful shutdown.

Yeah, if you've got the -smp flag then you should be good to go. Just make sure you have your passkey entered, so you'll receive bonus points.
