ok i have one of those dragon looking cases that kollance took and built there cooling system into and i like it but i wont it to look better. its black now but flat and has a rough texter. that im gone get fixed. a guy at work does auto body repair and said he would paint it for me for cheap. im gone paint the inside a mat black with the outside being a high gloss then the front grill cover will be painted blue. my hd are setting sideways were you see the back of them and i wonted to know if i could paint the black part of the drive blue to match the font covers. will that hurt the drives.

so the ??? is can i paint the black part of my hd blue with auto paint

i know i cant get any on the ide or power connecter or the bottom im also not gone not gone paint the top cuase it looks kind of neet tohave the metal top on it

you could always just tape around the parts you dont want to paint....so you dont get it on any of the connectors or anything.....

You can remove the hdd casing so that you won't have any chance in painting wrong parts. Just make sure you have a tupperware container nearby to put the hdd in after you remove the cover to avoid getting any dust on the spindles.
