well i listened to the gurus on the forum and got the LD90+ and its wonderful. it runs amazing with my 6800gt. i have one question: Ive heard talk about DVI having a better picture. i have an adapter and i was wondering if someone could tell me all the steps to go through to set it up.



PS..

also how do i go about setting up dual monitors and is there a good reason to?
 
I just got mine, as well as a new leadtek 6800gt to go with it...dear lord that video board is a hoss...as for the LCD, I've only had minimal playing around with it, and I haven't tweaked anything (except for turning on Vsync)--I'm hooked up to DVI, and the amount of ghosting, while acceptable, is noticeable. I'm not concerned about the FPSes, but it may bother me in the racing sims.

Also, the up volume button on my panel is dead. The panel has no dead pixels though, so I will probably live with it. I'll never use the speakers anyway, and the thing is too bright by default. I can certainly see the banding from the 6-bit display too, but that is a minor bother. It looks MUCH better than the old CRT.

Overall, except for those two minor dissapointments, I'm fairly happy.

I should add, too...the dithered display at the lower resolutions is MUCH better than I had anticipated. Perhaps even usable.
 
DVI is a better option if your video card has the output, it is a pure digital signal directly to the LCD instead of converting it into Analog which looses color, contrast, brightness and hue trueness as a result.

You will have to go into your video card drives and enable duel monitors within the control panel and wether or not its useful is completely up to you.
 
Now it's on my desk. wanted so much to take a sicky today. but too much to do. :(

 
I bought one from NewEgg and hooked it up to replace my 17" Nanao that was showing its age. It's an improvement on my old CRT but would never have compared when my CRT was new. Viewing angles seem fine, not as bad as a lot of people made it out to be. Default settings were way too bright for me, I knocked it down to ~35-40 from 60 and it looks much better. People complained you wouldn't be able to watch movies on it but I don't see the problem, Finding Nemo / GITS SAC / South Park all looked really good. Can't wait to tune this sucker, the screen is so damned big :D
