Hyper 212 Plus increases idle temp?

I am running an i3 2120. With the stock cooler I was getting 34 degrees idle and 64 max load. (ambient 22 degrees with decent case ventilation).

I upgraded to a Hyper 212 Plus just for the fun of it, and it must be working because my load temp fell to 52. However, my idle temp jumped to 37! The fan on the cooler is turning at 1366 RPM at idle.

Should I try to get a better seat on my cooler? Or is this normal? It's strange to me that this massive cooler is underperforming the tiny little stock cooler at idle.
 
DOn't worry about idle temps. The sensors are very unreliable at those temps, and ambient temp has a much larger influence.
