I plan on getting this pump along with a 77 boni heatercore, is there a way to wire ac into this easily? or any premade things to use... and how good is this pump, compared to danger den and the ehiems... thanks guys sorry for being a noob

you should look for the relay that comes with the kits. it doesnt come with the pumps alone but im sure someplace will carry it as a standalone item.

edit: found it at their site HERE

its expensive though. maybe go with the criticool one. or noise isolator makes another one. here

Here is where the Asetek unit mentioned above is good in stock here in the USA. I have one of these but I didn't like the way it was setup so I cut the AC line going through the PCI slot. Then I drilled a hole in the side of the PSU and wired the needed AC to the input terminals of the AC block. Looks nice, clean, and works like a charm. :D

so any users of this pump? good stories and bad ones are appreciated..

Well....no real experience. All the vendors I talk to have tried to steer me into an Eheim pump for quality and performance reasons. But I know others who use them so whatever flips your skirts. :)

if it was me i would get a DC pump. a ddc or a mcp600. actually the guy i bought my asetek stuff from had his hydor die on him.

Heres one way to make one, and as for how the L35 performs, heres a review that compares the L30 with comparable pumps, the L35 performs better obviously.

What price are you getting for that oump, you may be better off just buying good DC pump, if its around the same price.

imma just go with an ehiem or something then too many issues tryin to get ac to dc so not going to be cheap on this one heh

that made no sense. it really didn't.

there is no AC to DC conversion happening with the hydor. just a relay to turn the AC for the pump on and off.

most eheim pumps run off normal AC, meaning that an eheim will not make wiring any easier.

there are some specialty watercooling eheims that run DC, but they are expensive.

the danger den and swiftech DC pumps are definately an easy option, but can be expensive.
