HTPC (Stage 1)

Ok guys....

I have always dreamed about having a HTPC and conection it to my big screen tv and etc!! And because my old pc is not the best for this at all I decided to Build one.

I am thinking about these parts:
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 - OEM $131
ATI AIW RADEON 9800PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/CATV/VIVO, 8X AGP, Model "ALL-IN-WONDER 9800 PRO" $235

But I dont know if I should get:
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM $99
OR
CORSAIR XMS, Xtra-Low Latency 2-2-2-5, 184-Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200, Model CMX512-3200XL $139

And I Dont know if I should get this Either or go Something Elce?
Samsung 16X DVD±RW, Model TS-H552B/WBCH Black, $56

Also What Mother Board should I go with and is there any good Flopy/Midea Readers out there that you would suggest?

the XL will overclock better, if you will be doing that. otherwise, doesn't make much difference.

AIWs don't/shouldn't work with MCE, get a 150MCE tuner instead.

Oh yeah, I have one of those drive covers I bought just so I can take apart (I'm going to have to build one for my own case). I bought mine here cheaper (they also have cheaper CCFL too): http://www.coolerguys.com/840556007623.html
