Just wondering why HP.com shows a response time of 5 ms but everywhere else online seems to say 8ms G2G? could HP have upgraded this monitor since the original specs, firmware to make it faster? I am considering this monitor if I can get HP to sell it to me for $1000 including shipping and tax as it seems like a better option than the Dell U2711 which is at $1100 retail (probably $900 if you call Dell).
using it for some photoshop editing, very little video editing, and mostly gaming.
Also what is the negative about not having a scaler? I don't plan on hooking up any gaming consoles or watching movies on it.
