I just got back to my dorm room from christmas break and turned on my HP laserjet 5 and recieved the following error: "58 Fan Motor Failure Call Service" Does anyone know if I could fix this myself, or if there is some way to overide the error on the printer? TIA

You may want to open it up and ensure the cooling fan spins freely. If it's stuck, you'll get that error even if the motor works properly.

OK The top fan was not moving, and I touched it with a screwdriver and it started spinning. Man Im glad I dont have to buy another one!!
