heres the setup:

Dtek White Water
86 Chevette Heater Core
Danner Mag 7 ( is this too much?)
ghetto rigged reservoir

i was wondering if running anything higher than a danner mag drive 3 would cause the water to heat up more because i heard that higher the gph the hotter the pump runs.

Sounds fine to me :) You definately have a great block and the more gph a pump pushes the better it keeps that water flowing fast and the heat off your cpu. I dont think the heat from the motor on the pump will factor much on the water temps.
 
I might be buying a new pump soon, where are you buying that danner from ?
