i just ordered 2007fp for $250...

are they good for games and movies? whats your opinion on this lcd? i cant find much reviews/comments about this lcd.

oh ic, I thought it was from dell. Last time they had them for $160 on a price error and actually went through with it.

Anyways, I think they are pretty solid monitors for the price. They are slow in response time compared to current gen monitors doing 5-8ms. However it has good viewing angles, good color, and good features like: s-video, scaling modes, etc.

With the 2007fp you are playing the Dell panel lottery. You dont' know if you get an LG S-IPS screen or Samsung S-PVA screen. They have completely different characteristics. It is freaking annoying to say the least. As customers we shouldn't have to go through this panel swapping crap.

which panel is the better panel?

Here are the typical viewing angle profiles of
VA tech (PVA/MVA) vs
IPS vs
TN.

What do you think?

While this shows the image of the panel from the side. This starts to happen even when you sit directly centered as the sides of the panel are already at an angle. As a short term owner of the PVA version, I can attest the PVA panel model behaved as the MVA in the comparison.
