howdy folks i'm having trouble with my vid card and i was told this is the place to come anyways this is my second build i'm running an asus mobo (not sure which model number sorry) with a 915 chipset a 2.66 pentium 4 prescott core and an x600 diamond vid card and i'm having trouble with the vid card. All right so it runs on the desktop fine but who cares about that as soon as I start up a game it is already lacking in performance over my brothers x300 (running on a worse mobo and a CELERON!!!) so you can see where my frustration is i can't figure out why on a game like counterstrike 1.6 and source and dod source my vid card just can't perform over my bro's x300 in fact it's performing a lot worse than my old geforce fx 5200 pci card not even pci express anyways if anyone could shed some light as to why it's doing this and how i could fix it i'd really appreciate it.

Benchmarks? Settings used? Very unlikely that the X600 would be outperformed by a FX 5200 . . . 
But no an X600 isn't much of an improvement over the X300 but should still be about 10-15% faster . . . (400/600 vs. 325/400;592 HM)

ohhh right well in terms of the benchmarks i have no idea i'm sorry i'm a noob at this stuff so if you could tell me how to get it that'd be great and then the settings for cs 1.6 are as follows basically everything on high and then for the graphics card all the default stuff for the catalyst software and lets see ummmmmmmm ya i mentioned the catalyst thing so those are the drivers and just whatever version comes with the vid card (i'm terrible with software if you can't tell) anyways if yall could be some help to me with what i'm looking for so i can help you help me i'd really appreciate it thanks for reading
