There are five servers on the network, two that which serve as very low-end webservers, and 6 to 7 workstations on the network. Internet traffic will be going through this server.

You could remove a CPU and you'd still be overpowered for only 10megs of traffic.

I run a Pentium II 300 box as a firewall and it handles 27Mbps just fine.

For the price they are great, and they are half depth so you can mount them in 2-post racks without it looking silly as long as the rack is securely anchored.

Back in the day I used a Pentium II-300Mhz as a 100Mbit router using FREESCO as the software.

Worked great even 10 years ago. A whole lot of fixes and new functionality has been added since then.
