How to save SpeedFan fan speed configuration?

Everytime I load up SpeedFan, I have to change the fan speed back down to 50%. Does this program not have any automation at all? I've looked everywhere.

Go to options...somewhere there is a checkbox for "When Speedfan closes, return fan speed to 100%" uncheck that.

That is already unchecked. The problem is when I reboot, it comes back to 100%.

Yes, what you have to do is this.

First you gotta checkmark Automatic Fan speed in the main window. Then, Under config. Go to speeds. Pick which fan it is, and click the up/down arrows to put the speed you want. Then checkmark the "automatically variated" box. That will do it. Now everything you reboot, as soon as it loads the program, it will put the fan speed to whatever you set.

Interesting -- I will give that a try but it seems rather unintuitive compared to a small, simple program like ITE Smart Guardian, where you just set it and check the box that tells it to startup minimized on boot.
