How to remove rivets

I was thinking about getting an Antec Sonata (II), and I know that the bottom, right side, and top are one large piece riveted to the case. I'm curious to know if there are any techniques to cleanly remove riveting.

Alternatively, you could just use a small drill bit (smaller than the diameter of the hole) and just drill it out. Rivets are made from softer metal than drill bits, so the process is easier than it sounds.
