How to install driver w/o the programs

Hey guys, I have this wireless G card that I want to install. I installed it, but the drivers came with a program that I do not want at all. It just adds to the clutter. I have seen my friend do it before, I just have no idea how he did it. He inserted the disk and then went through a few steps and installed the driver ONLY. How do I do this?
 
D/l only the driver from the website?

Do a custom install with no "fluff"?

Search for the inf file on the cd and install through add new hardware wizard?

Install everything but then uninstall all those programs leaving only the driver on your system?

I can't install it w/o the program, it simply doesn't give me that option. I want to learn how he did it with the CD, I can't do it like the way you told me.
