How to Disable Sound Loopback?

I know this is actually a gaming software but i'm suspecting that it's specific to my motherboard.

I've been trying out a couple of voice recognition programs that would be a great help with some games. Like saying "Attack my Target" and getting all your lancemates to follow without taking my hands off the controls or saying "Coolant Flush" to cool down my reactor rather than holding down 'f' in the middle of a close battle.

The problem is that it also detects the background noise. So it can't hear me when i'm in the middle of an explosion, or even initiate a command when a unit reports in.

Right now i just tried playing some MP3's and the program is actually detecting it. How do i make the program only listen to the mic? I'm using the soundboard built into my nforce4 mobo.

I've muted everything except wave and master. Mic's selected in the record panel. Everything else has their volumes at minimum. It's still analyzing the MP3 i play in Winamp (Not good since this means it'll also be analyzing the game's background music). When i had a Yamaha sound card, i had to enable the loopback in the software that came with it to record desktop audio. This one that's built into nForce4, i can't seem to disable!

At the very least, i need advice on what keywords to use in google. So far i've only been getting game reviews and crap.

EDIT: As an example, when i fire the rocket launcher in painkiller, the program would sometimes interpret the explosion as a request for the shotgun.
